Current Show & ThirdStone News Flashes...

Wow..you've found a genuine relic! Yes..this is the old original ThirdStone Gallery website....... (the new "real one" is HERE)About 4 years ago we built a brand new deluxe site and just sorta left this one hangin' around as a peculiar artifact and reminder of from whence we came (well, truth be told, we just forgot all about the damned thing!) Anyway, we've recently been made aware that this monkey still draws one Helluva lotta traffic. Okay. So, um...well...thanks for visiting....there's lots of craziness here for you to enjoy..in fact, I'm sure there's something her to amaze, amuse and offend nearly everyone (yes, even you too, Telpo! ). So, enjoy. Please though, be sure to visit our real site for some of the greatest fine art on this planet..really! And of course, a considerable amount of fresh weirdness, wit, travesty and enigmae.

 WANTED!
ARTIST ROMAN "OBLIO" BORALDI FOR CRIMES AGAINST NATURE & THE STATE

Have you seen this man? Boraldi's last known whereabouts were the South suburbs of Chicago. Allegedly reputed to still be painting, Admiral Krozabeeep has filed

charges in ThirdStone court to bring this miscreant to justice. if you know where Boraldi's hiding out, email Krozabeeep. Please do not attempt to apprehend; he may be armed and legged. Shown above in a photo taken by the Admiral in 1975 (wearing his trademark garb of a pink chiffon party dress, with a Mr. Ed puppet peeping out of the bodice & a hard hat) be advised that his appearance may be somewhat different today. Thank you!

 THE PORTRAIT STUDIO PROJECT!

Beginning immediately, ThirdStone is offerring portrait services. If, when you think of portraits, you think of boring, yikes-boyo-howdy, are you in for a surprise. Of course, those of you who know ThirdStone, would never expect the mediocre or the normal. Three of our astoundifying artists have cooked up a project that'll blow your doors off.
" Ummm...Yes, Ma'am, would you like that portrait in 2D or 3D? Oil painting, chalk pastel, pencil, soft pastel, clay or environmental photo portrait? would you like fries with that?"
First to go to bat is ThirdStone ArtistPenny Alexander(that's her self-portrait above). Aside from her other artistic endeavours that have been such a hit here, Penny is the very best portrait artist I've ever seen. Amazing likenesses that truly capture the person behind the face are rendered as oil paintings, pastel (chalk or oil) or pencil drawings. Stay tuned to see samples soon.

Sculptor Deb Van Deusen is producing portraits as truly wonderful clay sculptures. We'll have some of these on this page soon for you to see.

Photographer Jim Rasmusson specializes in what he refers to as "Environmental portraiture". He shoots folks as they work or live or doing something they love to do, thereby capturing the essence of the subject and their spirit at work or play.

Stay tuned for lots of samples and more info on this. If you'd like a portrait of yourself or of someone you know, contact Bruce for details. Portraits can be produced from photo images or live sittings. They're amazing gifts and surprisingly affordable and you won't find anyting like them anywhere...

ADMIRAL PLUTO'S FU-FABU EMPORIUM TO OPEN SOON!

 "Oh, Shit !!"

said the ostrich
Last Fall's windstorm sure threw a spanner into the works of the grand opening of ADMIRAL PLUTO'S FU-FABU EMPORIOUM OF TWISTED ECLECTICA. Damn! That's right; the long-awaited opening of the soon to be legendary ThirdStone junk store was postponed yet again. Seems mother Nature's rather "vigorous" (like, 90 MPH!) winds were just too much for the structure. Plans are in the works to get the greenhouse building which houses the Admiral's famous collection, back in shape soon. stay tuned for more info   IT'LL OPEN THIS SPRING AT LAST!!!!
