I sculpt trees. Recycling waste
wood, I delve into the hearts of trees to reveal the inner beauty
.Working intuitively using reductive process, I find primarily
figurative and abstract forms which often evoke a
spiritual response. I have been working as a full-time, self-supporting
sculptor since 1991. In 1992 I opened The Ark Gallery in Saugatuck
wherefrom I both market my work and offer creative exposures
to the
public in the form of group exhibits, studio tours and workshops.
Due to philosophical objections, I rarely enter competitions,
but enjoy opportunities to show my work in educational contexts
and exhibits with themes.
