Bio info: My parents, both Danish nationals, went
to Indonesia and got married, then got me. No, they were not missionaries.
So I was born in Indonesia, travelled half the globe to be raised up in
Muskegon, Michigan. Graduated from WMU in Kalamazoo. Took a couple art
education classes, but mostly I'm self taught, as it were. I've lived in
South Haven forever. Worked in and managed an art gallery, Lighthouse Row
Gallery, for about eleven years. Show my work at a couple art fairs and
in
some galleries, including the Merson Gallery, a co-op in South Haven, and
at
the infamous Thirdstone Gallery around and about Saugatuck.
Artist's Statement: Walking the Lake Michigan shoreline, I
pick up the
flotsam and jetsam that whispers to me along the way. The best pieces,
usually driftwood, but sometimes metal or stone, are instantly recognizable
as SOMETHING--critter or character. I drag them home to my studio and start
to play.
